a rich tradition
johan van den acker textielfabriek: a family tradition with ambition! Our strength lies not only in our first-class fabrics, but also in the close eye we keep on market developments and changing trends and the ways in which we continuously translate these into unexpected contemporary collections. The fact that the entire process, from thread dyeing to designing, weaving, printing and finishing, takes place in-house, also plays an important role in this,
Without these strengths, we would not be able to respond to international trends and fashion developments quickly and effortlessly, nor guarantee consistent high quality.
Hundreds of clients, small and large, work together with van den acker, some for many years. Why? Because of the quality of our fabrics, our varied collections, the possibility of custom-made products and outstanding sales support.
You have made an excellent choice by choosing van den acker, both now and in the future.

johan van den acker textielfabriek – Purveyor to the Royal Household
Gemert
johan van den acker textielfabriek is celebrating its 200th anniversary this year, which was commemorated on 28 February 2008 with lots of family, business partners and naturally all employees.
During the festivities, Mayor Jan van Maasakkers of the Municipality of Gemert-Bakel granted the celebrating company the designation “Bij Koninklijke Beschikking Hofleverancier", By appointment to the Court of the Netherlands.
Johan van den Acker Textielfabriek is very proud to have reached this milestone. After two centuries, the company can still boast a completely in-house production process, with its own studio and thread-dyeing, weaving and fabric-finishing facilities. The advantage of having all processes take place in-house is that Van den Acker can quickly respond to international trends and fashion developments. Van den Acker is also one of the few Dutch weaving mills that successfully serves a worldwide market with its own collections as well as acting as a reliable partner for custom-made products.
Being awarded this designation means that Van den Acker has received honourable recognition from Her Majesty the Queen. It is therefore with extreme pride that the company carries the designation as purveyor to the Royal Household, both in the Netherlands and elsewhere, which, together with its tradition as a family business, is a cast-iron combination.
